Engineers aren’t the only ones who hack here at TPT — it’s a company-wide event open to everyone who wants to learn and grow. We use this moment to take action on insights and ideas, exercise and apply all aspects of our expertise, try something new, and build relationships with people you might not usually work with.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion working group
Our diversity, equity, and inclusion working group (DEIWG) keeps us accountable by identifying how TPT will operationalize equity work. This cross-functional group develops external and internal strategies that address opportunities for growth as they relate to DEI.
Employee resource groups
Led by employees and supported by our senior leadership and people teams, TPT’s employee resource groups (ERGs) are places of community for people who share identities. These groups cultivate belonging, promote awareness, and champion learning. We currently have 7 ERGs, but are always looking to grow.

Grow within our tech teams
Our tech teams are the backbone of TPT. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to achieve nearly as much impact in the lives of teachers. Tech never stops evolving, and the need to continue learning and growing has never been more important. We’ve found that we can develop more as a team simply from what we can learn from each other. Our tech teams have built it into our culture and have time carved out regularly to collaborate and learn from and with each other.

Learning and growing is central to our culture. We actively create opportunities for team members to gain new experiences and skills and to flex into new territory. At TPT, we offer cross-functional mentorship opportunities to help our team expand their skill-sets and tap into a community of innovative and diverse thinkers. Many workplaces have “career ladders'' to be climbed rung by rung, but here, employees have opportunities to pursue vertical and lateral moves.

We’re a team that values each other as people. We appreciate that each of us has our own approach to life and work, and while we put a bit of hustle into each day, we’re still able to find balance and take the space we need. Engage with educators and build the future
Having that direct line to the teacher community helps us feel the impact of our work — and allows us to get immediate feedback from our user base. Teacher feedback has been critical to our product decisions; the right step forward for us is always the one that leads to the biggest reward for them. Our tech teams work closely with our education and UX researchers to uncover any opportunities or areas to improve. Because of this, they’re able to quickly iterate to create the best possible experience for teachers and students.
